D-Texas’ Rep. Jasmine Crockett, hired in a new Republican-led group to investigate the January 6 Capitol riot, immediately exploded the initiative as a partisan and accused the former president of Donald Trump Escape accountability.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, DN.Y., announced the appointment of the Democratic Fireworks and other Democratic members on Monday after formally creating the subcommittee earlier this month.
Crockett himself criticized Republicans for launching the initiative at a press conference with members of the New Democratic Party, even suggesting that President Donald Trump should be “convicted” in the 2021 riot.

“That day, the democratic bricks were attempted to remove the bricks. In fact, unfortunately, they laid the foundation for what we are currently experiencing,” Crockett said. “Because if the people in power do what they should do, it is to go through improvisation convictions, then none of us will endure everything we are enduring right now.”

The president denied responsibility for the protests despite Democrats accusing him of inciting violence. He has since been convicted of pardons for their parts.
Crockett accused Republicans of using group production to “distract and split.”
“We won’t allow them to paint this,” she said. “We will reveal the lies and we will continue to be responsible for those who try to overturn the will of the people, including the president. It has nothing to do with Democrats and Republicans. It’s about defending the Constitution.”

She added: “We all vow to uphold the honesty, accountability and leaders who will protect democracy rather than demolish democracy. I am committed to ensuring that the American people are truth about January 6 and remembering all those responsible for the filth of the building.”
The Subcommittee will be run by R-GA. Rep. Barry Loudermilk, chaired by his last Congress investigated the now-discontinued House Selection Committee on January 6.
“Although my previous investigation did an incredible job in the last Congress, there is still a lot of work to be done. Our goal is to answer the rest of the questions, reveal all the facts and implement reforms, so this level of security failure will never happen again. It’s time to get the job done,” said Loudermilk when he formed the group.

Typically, party leaders choose members of their core group to participate in the committee, although the final approval is a majority.
Except Crockett, Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif.appointed Democrat on the subcommittee, joined by Rep. Jared Moskowitz of D-FLA. Rep. Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, holds honorary positions.
