IRS FIRES’s top assistant targets scandals related to Lois Lerner tea party

Exclusive: Top Assistant and A close friend Fox News Digital learned that Lois Lerner, a former Obama official targeting conservative and conservative groups, was fired by the IRS.

Sources tell Fox News Digital Holly PazHe served as a commissioner in the IRS’s large commercial and international division, and was fired on Monday.

Paz Sources said they were placed on administrative leave last month and were later fired after internal review.

Paz served as Lerner’s deputy during the Obama administration.

In 2013, it was revealed that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under Lerner had a tax review of tax reviews related to the Tea Party, 9/12 and the Constitution. The Treasury Inspector General later confirmed that “inappropriate standards” were used to target conservative groups and criticized invalid oversight of systemic bias.

The IRS reportedly spent more than two years targeting conservative tax-free groups.

Paz reviewed and helped oversee the processing of tax exemption applications and was described as a key link to the Cincinnati office of the Ohio IRS Office, where the application was conducted for the screening and IRS headquarters.

She reviewed the lawmakers’ review of the subordinate work department, which aims to review the businesses created and assigned to her lead by Biden-era Commissioner Danny Werfel.

Werfel calls new work unit a “important step to confirmation”[ing] The IRS is responsible for the richest applicants in the country,” Paz calls it “Important Changes” in IRS Structure.

After years of litigation, the Trump administration filed lawsuits in 2017 with the Tea Party and other conservative groups, who said they were unfair to the IRS under the Obama administration.

At the time, Lerner and Paz asked the federal court to locate their testimony in a private and private manner forever, fearing death threats.

The IRS recognized additional scrutiny of conservative groups applying for nonprofit status, and the targeting of the scandal attracted a lot of attention in 2013. Lerner became the public face of the scandal, although many other IRS officials, such as PAZ, were involved.

In the 2017 settlement, the IRS apologized, saying the agency “accepted its treatment of plaintiffs during the tax exemption determination process, including screening their applications based on their name or policy position, reviewing these applications, and conducting exacerbated reviews and internal delays, and requiring certain plaintiffs to determine the status of Tigta’s request to determine the status of their denials that were unsuccessful, their denials were impossible,’

“The IRS expressed a sincere apology for this treatment,” the IRS said at the time.

While the Treasury Department has not commented on the relocation of immigrant Paz, it represents the latest step in Secretary Scott Bessent’s efforts to “make the IRS” (IRS) as acting commissioner.

Fox News Digital learned that Bessent has been working closely with Hunter Biden whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler and has met with IRS leadership several times.

Sources told Fox News Digital that Bessent and IRS officials are working to improve customer service and outcomes for U.S. taxpayers. They are also working to streamline technology improvements and reduce swelling recruitment from the Biden Administration.
