Trump calls for action against ‘evil people’ after Charlotte stabbing

President Donald Trump responded Monday to a fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who happened last month in Charlotte North Carolinasaid the United States must take action on the interests of the country.

Trump mentions Iryna Zarutska’s stabbing on city light rail train in remarks Bible Museum.

“We are all religious people, but there are evil people,” Trump said. “And we have to face that. I just gave my love and hope to the family of this young woman who was stabbed by a lunatic in Charlotte this morning or last night.”

The suspect was identified as 34-year-old decarlos Brown, who was arrested and hospitalized shortly after the stabbing and then arrested for first-degree murder.

“The madman just got up and started,” Trump said of the suspect. “It was on the tape. It wasn’t really visible because it was horrible, but it was just stabbed. She was just sitting there.”

Surveillance video recently released by the Charlotte Regional Transit System (CATS) shows that Zarutska was on the Lynx Bline series after 9:45 pm on August 22. A man in a red hoodie was seen sitting behind her.

About four minutes later, the video showed the man pulling out a knife and stabbing Zarutska three times, including at least once in the neck. Later authorities Announce her dead On site.

The video shows the suspect walking through the track car, taking off his sweatshirt and waiting at the door while the passengers look.

“So they are evil people,” Trump said. “We have to be able to deal with it. If we don’t deal with it, we don’t have a country.”
