Donald Trump told foreign companies that they must hire and train American workers and respect immigration laws, which was after a raid at a Hyundai Automobile Manufacturing plant in Georgia, about 300 Koreans were detained.

Nearly 500 workers were detained during the raid Thursday, and U.S. authorities released videotapes showing them being restrained in a handcuff and ankle chain and loaded with buses.

The raid marks the largest single location sweeping Donald Trump under a national anti-immigration campaign, which seems to have damaged diplomatic and economic relations between the United States and South Korea.

Trump wrote in Sunday’s Truth Social: “I hereby call on all foreign companies investing in the United States to respect our country’s immigration laws.

Trump posted his post shortly after telling reporters that he would study what happened, but the incident did not damage his relationship with South Korea.


Seoul says

South Korea announced on Sunday that about 300 detained nationals will be released and flew home during the Georgia immigration raid.
