U.S. Capitol police arrest dozens of protesters in Capitol rotunda and Capitol mountain Washington, DCas members of the Senate continue to debate President Donald Trump’s “Big and Beautiful Bill.”
The Associated Press said demonstrators are protesting against Republican taxes and spending cut bills in two different locations.
One of them is the Capitol Rotunda and the other is at an intersection near the U.S. Capitol.

Fox News Digital has contacted the U.S. Capitol Police Department for more information on the arrests.
Protests in the rotunda show signs of protesters holding, which read: “Cut is a policy murder.” A man who participated in the demonstration had a shirt that read “The Poor’s Campaign.”

Outside the Capitol, some demonstrators carried black wooden coffins that read “178,000 people in Florida will lose Medicaid,” “This coffin represents policy murder,” and “574,000 people in Florida will lose robbery.”
The logos of other coffins represent similar numbers, but in states such as West Virginia, Illinois, and Kentucky.

Several people on display were also wearing religious costumes.
A group in the protest was called the maintenance personnel who violated the rules. In a statement obtained by the Associated Press, the group claimed to lead the effort, adding that the demonstrations continued the Capitol tradition of non-violent action, facing injustice policies and called on the country to raise the ground.

The Budget Reconciliation Act, if passed, would advance the President’s agenda on taxation, immigration, energy, defense and national debt. The legislation is currently under the control of Senate.
