U.S. Senate begins voting on Trump’s “Big Beauty Act”

After weeks of controversial negotiations, the U.S. Senate has begun voting on a massive spending plan known as the “large bill.”

Republicans — those who control both houses of Congress — have disagreements over cuts to extend tax breaks.

President Donald Trump hopes Congress passes the bill by July 4.

The legislation will be submitted to the Senate after the House passed a version of the bill with one vote last month. The bill will return to the House for another vote due to Senate changes.
