The United States imposes sanctions on three Palestinian human rights groups Gazaaccording to a notice issued to the U.S. Treasury Department website on Thursday.
The three organizations – the Gaza-based Palestine Human Rights Centre and the AL Mezan Human Rights Centre and the Ramallah-based Al-Haq – list what the Ministry of Finance calls the designation related to the International Criminal Court.
In November 2023, the organizations asked the International Criminal Court to investigate Israeli air strikes on densely populated civilian areas of Gaza, siege and displacement of population territory and displacement.

Israel called the announcement shameful and “based entirely on Hamas’s lies movement.”
Israel launched an attack on the Gaza Strip in October 2023 after fighter jets from Palestinian militants controlled the territory, attacked southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages back to Gaza.
Since then, the Israeli war has killed 63,000 people, forcing almost all Gaza residents to flee at least once, and has triggered a crisis of hunger in some areas where the global hunger monitor describes as famine.
