Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter entered the first game of the NFL season after vomiting Dak Prescott, a Dallas Cowboys quarterback.
Carter, one of the best players to defend the Super Bowl champion, approached Prescott when the team lined up for the first game after the kickoff and seemed to be unprovoked and vomited his opponent. Prescott looked shocked, as a bunch of phlegm fell on his chest and Carter was immediately sent out of the field. He shook his head and smiled as he walked to the tunnel, but did not argue about the decision.
The impact on the Hawks was straightforward: The Cowboys drove along the fields and scored on their first possession. Eagles Line obviously missed the destructive Carter when Javonte Williams ran into the touchdown.
The Hawks chose Carter with the ninth pick in 2023 after a remarkable college career at Georgia. He quickly established himself as one of the best defensive tackles in the league and helped the Hawks win the Super Bowl last season.
