The federal court of appeals has overturned a legal order requiring Florida and U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration to shut down the crocodile wolf alcatraz, thus keeping immigration detention centers open.

In a 2-1 ruling, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals approved the Florida and the Department of Homeland Security’s request to block subordinate injunctions when litigation is filed.

“As we’ve always said, the crocodile Taras is actually open,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Last month, U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams ordered the facility to be suspended and demolition began within 60 days.

The Department of Homeland Security has begun to transfer detainees from the Everglades scene as ordered by lower courts.

But on Thursday, Florida’s Republican governor welcomed the appeals court ruling.

“Some left-wing judges have incredibly ruled that Florida would not allow the use of our own property in some way in this important task because they did not issue an environmental impact statement,” DeSantis said.
