According to the new Inspector General Report, the Secret Service’s counter sniper team is understaffed – endangering the safety of U.S. leaders such as the U.S. president.

Rowe told lawmakers that the agency also overhauled its radio communication networks and interoperability with secret service personnel and state and local law enforcement personnel.

“The reforms last year were just the beginning and the agency will continue to evaluate its operations, review recommendations and make other changes as needed,” the Secret Service said in a July press release.
