Romanian tennis player Sorana Cirstea Claims she robbed some precious hardware in New York City 2025 US OPEN.
“Who stole my Cleveland Trophy in the room at 314 @thefiftysonesta, please give it back!” Cirstea, 35, wrote via her Instagram story on Saturday, August 30. “It has no material value, it’s just emotional value! It will be very thankful! Thank you, Sorana.”
Cirstea’s trophy was allegedly stolen from the Fifty Sonesta Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
US Weekly Have contacted the hotel and the New York Police Department.
In a statement CBS News“We are in close communication with reported lost items. Our Director of Safety and Security is a retired New York Police Department detective who personally oversees the investigation,” said the hotel’s general manager.
Cirstea is the 41st female tennis player in the world, winning the tennis trophy in the Land Championships on Sunday, August 24. She defeated the United States An Li In the finals, 6-2, 6-4.
