“I also want to make it clear: Neither my wife nor my son commented on this situation on social media or on any website,” he explained. “In this regard, we do not use any law firm’s services. All alleged statements that appear online are not ours.”
Szczerk said he and his wife had been “involved in helping children and young athletes” for years, but admitted that the incident of robbing the hats eroded all this kind of goodwill.
“This situation shows me that inattentive moments can eliminate several years of work and support,” he said. “It is a painful but necessary lesson for me. So I will be more actively involved in initiatives supporting children and young people, as well as actions against violence and hatred. I believe that only through action can I rebuild lost trust.”
Szczerk commented on his Instagram post “Out of attention to my family.”
In the clip of Szczerk stealing hats, the tennis player at the event center successfully contacted the boy named Brock.
“I had a nice meeting after my warm-up today,” Majchrzak posted on Saturday in the story of August, showing off his meeting with the boys and swapping a new hat on the open venue in the U.S.
Majchrzak wrote in another Instagram story: “Hello World, with Brock, have a great day.”
