Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak met a young fan as a video appeared to show a man snatching his hat from the U.S. Open crowd.
Majchrzak shared two clips on his official Instagram account where he shook hands with the two boys and presented them with gifts – including a boy-like hat, and then quickly removed him from the clip.
Tennis professionals wrote: “After warming up today, I had a pleasant meeting. [the cap]? ”
The viral video, reportedly from Thursday’s Majchrzak game, showed tennis players interacting with fans and then giving the kid a hat he’s been wearing.
Then you can see a man next to the child and the child has the opportunity to catch it in person. The boy can then be seen begging to restore it to its original state.
The edited version was then shared on social media, with many users criticizing the man – after which multiple media outlets were appointed Piotr Szczerek, Poland CEO of Poling Paving Company.
BBC News contacted Mr Szczerek through his company.
Majchrzak also posted images of him standing and smiling as the boy wearing a hat.
“Hello world, with Brock, we wish you a wonderful day!” said the tennis player’s title.
Majchrzak, 29, ranks 76th in the world in men’s singles.
He returned from two sets and beat Russia’s ninth seed Karen Khachanov, also 29, and was forced to retire in his third round against Switzerland on Saturday in the second round of the Flushing Meadow on Thursday.
Majchrzak later confirmed that he had torn the intercostal muscles.
