“Applicable federal public buildings should enhance and beautify public places, inspire the human spirit, devour the United States and be respected by the public. They should also be visually regarded as civic buildings and conform to proper respect for regional architectural heritage.” Order assertion.
The language matches the language contained in a similar executive order issued by Trump at the end of his first term to the end of his first term with the end of the “Promoting Beautiful Federal Citizen Building”, the President Joe Biden It was revoked in 2021.

“Buildings that meet the standards set out in this subsection, especially traditional and classical buildings, are preferred buildings for applicable federal public buildings. In the District of Columbia, classical buildings should be preferred and default buildings for federal public buildings, without other types of buildings,” the President’s newly issued order.

The text states that “classical and traditional architecture are the preferred modes of architectural design”, but “preference does not rule out the possibility of alternative styles in appropriate circumstances”.

The order states: “The design should adhere to good construction practices and utilize reliable materials, methods and equipment. The building should be economical to build, operate and maintain and should be prone to disability.”
