Two children aged eight and 10 were killed and 17 others were injured in mass shootings MinneapolisMinnesota.
According to police, the shooter died at the scene and is believed to have been acting alone.

The two people killed in the attack were eight and 10 years old. Their parents have been notified. Their identities have not been released yet.

Of the 17 injured, 14 were children and 3 adults. Police said two of the children were in critical condition, but all the remaining victims were expected to survive. “But there is widespread harm,” said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara.

Hennepin County Medical Center said there have been 11 patients, including two adults and nine children, ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old. Tell The Minneapolis Star Tribune has five children admitted.

The shooting occurred before 8.30 a.m. local time, marking the first week of the school during worship. The attackers approached outside the building and began firing rifles at the children sitting on the benches.

Law enforcement officers said the shooter legally purchased rifles, a shotgun and a pistol. The attackers fatally shot the church at them.

The shooter was named Robin Westman, 23, by local news media. Westman reportedly grew up in Richfield, Minnesota, and their mother worked at Angel School.

The agency’s director Kash Patel announced that the FBI is investigating the shooting as a kind of family terrorism and hate crimes against Catholics. Local police refused to attract with their attack motives.

Officials said the shooter has arranged to release a declaration on YouTube. Police said this “seemed to be shown to him on the scene and included some disturbing works.” The Chief of Police added that the content was cancelled with the assistance of the FBI.
