A source familiar with the work of the committee told Fox News Digital that the group will mark the bill to “fight juvenile crime in DC, address the DC education system, and end restrictive policing policies established by the DC Council to prevent law enforcement from ensuring the safety of residents and visitors.”
It is an important step for congressional Republicans to take to Trump’s efforts to combat crime in the nation’s capital.
The House Oversight Committee is one of two congressional groups that have jurisdiction over the national capital and its operations, so most family legislation involving DC crimes and other similar matters may have originated there.

“The House Oversight Committee is ready to reform ahead of time to provide DC law enforcement with the tools needed to protect the public and to deal with the growing juvenile crime crisis. Everyone in our national capital should feel safe, and in President Trump, we will once again ensure DC is safe.”
The committee member R-Fla. Rep. Byron Donalds previously introduced a bill that has reduced the city’s definition of “youth” from 24 to 18, meaning anyone 18 or older will try as an adult.
However, it is not clear whether the bill will be one of the bills marked by the commission next month.
The latest plan for the House Oversight Committee comes after the president announced that he would federally 30 days as part of fighting crime and beautifying the city.

Among other federal forces, he deployed National Guards from Washington, D.C. and across the country to patrol the country’s capital.
Trump said Wednesday overnight that House and Senate Republican leaders “are working with me and other Republicans to develop a comprehensive crime bill.”
At the same time, the leader assistant Tell Fox News Numbers House Republicans are working with the White House on Tuesday to “solve many issues in DC governance and crime.”
