One of his first stops was the iconic Nashville Palace in Tennessee, where he spoke with employees about the provisions of the massive Republican agenda bill that eliminates taxes on tilts and overtime wages.
“We’re so happy to see you guys. We’re here to talk about the no taxes that are specified,” Johnson said in a video obtained only by Fox News Digital. “You know what that means, and at the end of the day, everyone has more money in their pockets and less money they have to send to Washington.”
The video also shows Cole, general manager of Nashville Palace, pointed out that his staff is “happier.”

“When everyone makes more money, everyone gets happier,” Cole said.
Johnson also spoke directly with workers Vince and Shelby at the event, and Shelby told the speaker she was “happy to hear” about the new tax preparation.
“We think Tennessee’s numbers are extraordinary,” Johnson replied.
Bartender Vince noted that eliminating the tax on tips would make his life “easier”, later noting that it would give him the opportunity to travel without worrying about money.
This is because Republicans launched a full-time news journey to promote Trump’s agenda bill, even as Democrats try to use it as Political cudgel Before the 2026 midterm elections.
Critics of the bill positioned it as a tax giveaway for wealthy Americans, but sacrificed vulnerable Americans, citing new job requirements for certain Medicaid workers and provisions for access to federal food benefits.
Johnson also accepted the criticism later that night, while speaking at the Republican event in Tennessee.

“This is real money for real people,” Johnson said of the legislation. “Now, we will never forget. We will never forget that every Democrat in Congress (the House and the Senate) voted against every huge victory for the people. When the left talks about what is said on our bill, we have to remind voters.”
He accused Democrats of “lying” to legislation as their only political crutches.
“How many of you know what they’ve left behind? They don’t have leaders, they don’t have platforms, they don’t have policies that the American people can digest. They just have to lie,” Johnson said.
“Democrats voted against the prosperity and security of the American people. They voted against tax cuts for working families. It’s simple, they can’t escape.”
