“It’s impossible to say these days in the past few days. We’re safe together and surrounded by love,” Sarah wrote on Instagram in January. “Thanks to Uncle Dave and Aunt Danny for grabbing many of us. We lost our home. It’s one of the earliest areas to go.”

She continued: “Our kids said ‘We’re all taking the first step there.’ It’s hard to say goodbye to our gorgeous town, our special schools and the places we love.

Sarah added that the family was “very grateful” to be together because of the “pouring of love” they received.

“We received a lot of messages from friends, providing their houses, food, clothes, hugs, things for the kids, support, we were just blown away,” she concluded. “That’s what made us cry. Thanks, it means a lot to us. Faster.”
