Former Republican leader New York City Council Explained how Zohran Mamdani lost the mayor’s game, even if elected, the leader’s candidate “can’t do much of his promise”.
Joe Borelli, who served as a member of parliament for over nine years, sat down with Fox News Digital Numbers to discuss the top of the competition Eric AdamsFormer New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa were on the spot against Mamdani and his open socialist agenda.
“The game isn’t even over yet,” Borrelli told Fox. “We’ll see the first group of polls after Labor Day sometime around September 10 (September 10), and it’s when you really see the game.

“I did think at that time there might be some pressure to quit and support others,” Borelli added.
Cuomo Reportedly “relying on” President Trump has pushed Republican voters to New York City in support of the former governor.
Cuomo’s campaign Rumors denied Fox News numbers Earlier this week.
Borelli noted President Donald Trump Convincing Sliwa and Adams to quit the game may be beneficial to Cuomo, but formal endorsement may do more harm than good.
“Trump can help Cuomo by helping two other non-Mamdani candidates exit the game, which will be influential,” Borrelli told Fox. “Unfortunately, even as a Trump supporter, I have to admit that the president is not particularly popular in New Yorkers’ voting rights.”

Mamdani avoided the issue of communism, saying his campaign was about “distribution of wealth”
As for Mamdani’s agenda, the socialist made a lofty campaign commitment, saying he hopes New York City will provide free childcare, free bus transportation, city-owned grocery stores and frozen rental prices.
The nearly decade spent on the city council led him to believe that many of these promises were simply impossible.
“Mandani can’t do a lot of the things he promised unilaterally,” Borrelli told Fox. “The MTA isn’t running in black right now, it’s running in red a lot.

“[The MTA] It always takes more money, so it’s unclear how he’s selling the entire MTA board in the plan to make the bus free, and that would cost more than one, two, maybe $3 billion. ”
As for Mamdani’s plan to open a city-run grocery store in each of the five New York boroughs New York Governor Kathy Hochul I got back to this idea at an event in Hampton on the weekend.

“I’m in favor of free enterprise,” Hochul, who is not running for mayor, told the crowd, citing Mamdani’s vision for the city’s grocery store.
As the remaining candidates continue to fight, Mamdani leads the game, the stage will compete in the November mayoral election.
