The Kansas City Chiefs organization resolved the decision to shoot at a team facility last summer, which was a public secret.

This is what we are sure of.”
Donovan continued: “What’s next? From a PR standpoint, from a communication standpoint, we made the decision and then moved on.”
As the Chiefs prepare to welcome the Chicago Bears to the preseason preseason on Friday, August 22, Donovan insists that the Chiefs Kingdom needs no worries.
“Tomorrow night, the stadium will have 70,000 people,” he said. “Our job is to make sure they are safe. Rest assured that we can devote everything possible to achieve this.”
Donovan added: “I will put forward this point, every year we have to develop, we have to enhance, we have to increase, we have to spend to make sure we are as safe as possible. And we have done it.”
The Chiefs opens on September 5 against Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The team returned to Kansas City on Sept. 14 for their home opener and played against the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl.
News of the shooting last summer was broken Kansas City Star Wednesday, August 21.

Reid, 67, worked alone in his office as he fired a bullet from outside the building and passed through a glass.
The bullet lay on the wall between his bathroom and the entrance door and arrived at Reed’s office about 15 feet from where the head coach sat at his desk. A Kansas City Police Department spokesman said Reed was not attacked or injured by bullets.
Two other bullets hit the facility the same day, one hitting the floor above Reed’s office and the other hitting the outdoor air conditioning unit.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is still underway.
