The Judd family is more than just a country music royal.

Naomi Judd

Naomi was born in January 1946 to her parents Pauline Ruth and Charles Glen Judd. She has a younger brother named Brian, who died of leukemia at the age of 17 in 1965.

At the age of 18, Naomi became a mother after welcoming Wynonna. When her relationship with Wynonna’s biological father ended, she tied up with Ciminella. After giving birth to Ashley, Naomi and her family moved from Kentucky to Los Angeles. In 1972, Naomi and her daughter returned to Kentucky, after divorced Ciminella.

Naomi and Wynonna formed Judds in 1983. As a music duo, they won five Grammy Awards and nine Country Music Society Awards. The mother and daughter disbanded Juddes after being diagnosed with hepatitis B in 1991.
