The FBI announced it has arrested a Texas woman who fled to India after being accused of killing her six-year-old son, Noel Rodriguez Alvarez.

Cindy Rodriguez Singh, who was added to the FBI’s “Top Ten Wanted” list in 2023, was charged with death sentence murder and illegal escape to avoid prosecution.

FBI Director Kash Patel awarded “huge field work, law enforcement partners, arrests of intelligence personnel” as well as arrests from Indian officials.

Ms. Singer fled the United States in 2023, two days after police officers in Everman, Texas, hadn’t seen since the first 10 months.

Ms. Singh said in a check for March 2023 that her son was in Mexico with his biological father.

However, two days later, Ms. Singh flew to India with her husband and six other children – Noel. Authorities issued an amber alarm for him shortly afterwards.

Patel said in an article on X that she is believed to have “had not returned to the United States since then.”

Witnesses told police officer Rodriguez Singh about the insult to the boy, according to CBS News, a U.S. partner of the BBC.

Texas authorities charged Ms. Sigh in October 2023 with a death sentence and issued a federal arrest warrant for her warrant in the following month.

The FBI provided a $25,000 reward to provide information that led to Ms. Singh’s arrest.

A year after his disappearance, Everman City appointed a playground in the honor of Noel.
