Amid tensions, the State Department provides guidance to 25,000 people in Israel

The State Department said Friday it has provided “information and support” to more than 25,000 people in Israel, the West Bank or Iran to seek guidance on what to do and how to leave.

When State Council State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce declined to further elaborate on how many of the 25,000 people were U.S. citizens or any other number collapsed.

The State Department has received news that the agency announced the establishment of a task force to help Americans who wish to leave Israel or other Middle Eastern countries.

Bruce said in a press conference on Friday that the United States had no intention of transporting U.S. citizens directly from Iran and they would have to eliminate them first before they could get government assistance.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said earlier this week that the Jerusalem embassy “works to evacuate flights and cruises” for Americans trying to leave Israel.

Huckabee issued a statement a few hours later The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem In its own X post, “no announcements about the departure of private citizens at this time”, but it also acknowledged that “the State Department has always planned that it is possible to assist U.S. citizens to leave private citizens in crisis areas.”

So far, the United States has not made a large-scale effort to help Americans leave Israel. But, according to ABC News, the military does help ride some American diplomats and family members this week from the U.S. Embassy.

Private flights for U.S. citizens did start in Florida on Thursday Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Amid the ongoing violence, four planes were sent to take over U.S. citizens. Other private options are available to leave Israel.

On Monday, the State Department’s travel warning to Israel was raised to its highest level.
