Eleventh Biden aide Ian Sams appears in House Oversight Committee investigation

As Republicans continue to investigate, an aide to the 11th former Biden administration emerged in front of House Oversight Committee investigators Thursday morning Allegations “cover up” In the last White House.

Ian Sams is a longtime Democratic spreader who recently served as a senior spokesperson for former Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 campaign.

Prior to that, he served as a senior adviser and spokesperson for the White House lawyer’s office under former President Joe Biden, where his main role needed to respond to a major congressional investigation by Republicans.

He noted that from May 2022 to late August 2024, Sams’ term in the position extended for much of his time after Biden’s tenure.

“Given the growing evidence that President Biden has lost a lot (if not all) in his single term, the scope of personal interactions within the Oval Office and personal interactions within the Oval Office cannot be investigated,” Comer wrote. “If White House staff adopt a strategy that lasts months or even years to cover up the CEO’s situation (or performs duties), Congress may need to consider legislative responses.”

Comer’s committee is investigating whether Biden’s top White House aides have masked signs of a decline in the spirit of the former president in the media and fellow Democratic Party.

House investigators are particularly interested in the myriad leniency orders signed by Trump in the second half of his four-year term and whether these and other decisions through automatic signing were made through Biden’s full consciousness.

Biden insists he “made all decisions” in a recent interview The New York Times.

During his tenure as Harris’ 2024 spokesperson, Samus was attracted by the attention after being called by the president. Donald Trump.

“Sams is just a below average person, and almost all of this is wrong,” Trump wrote after a appearance on Fox News last year.

Although Sams is the eleventh former Biden White House assistant, he is only the eighth in the voluntary interview.

Three other former Biden officials – former White House physician Kevin O’Connor Former senior advisers Anthony Bernal and Annie Tomasini were forced to appeal by subpoena.

Just like his seat, Sams’ interview will be held behind closed doors and is expected to be led by Republicans and Democrats on the committee.
