On October 3, 2024, Rodriguez Singh issued an Interpol Red Notice and submitted it to all member states, including India. At that time, Singh’s extradition package was also submitted.
The FBI arrested Rodriguez Singh in India in coordination with Indian authorities and Interpol. She has been shipped to the United States and the FBI will hand her over to Texas authorities.

On March 20, 2023, the Texas Family and Protection Department asked the Everman Police Department to conduct welfare checks on Rodriguez Singh’s 6-year-old son, according to the FBI.
Officials say Singh’s son has many health and developmental problems, including serious developmental disorders, social disorders, bone density problems, chronic lung disease, pulmonary edema and estrogen.
Officials said Rodriguez Singh lied to investigators during the welfare check and noted that the child was in Mexico with his biological father, and had been there since November 2022.

Rodriguez Singh, her husband and six other teenagers boarded an international flight to India on March 22, 2023, the FBI said, adding that investigators confirmed that the missing child was absent and never boarded the flight.

On October 31, 2023, Rodriguez Singh was charged with murder in Tarrant County District Court in Fort Worth, Texas.
On November 2, 2023, a federal arrest warrant was issued to Rodriguez Singh in the U.S. District Court in Fort Worth, northern Texas, after Rodriguez Singh of the Northern Texas was charged with illegal flight to avoid prosecution.
Rodriguez Singh was added to the “most wanted” list in July.
Rodriguez Singh is the fourth person arrested on the “most wanted” list under Patel.
