president Donald Trumpon Monday, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, praising the strength of the U.S. military industrial base and stressing that U.S. weapons are the key to Kiev’s resistance to Russia.

Trump said during his administration, U.S. policy focused on selling military technology to European allies rather than directly financing weapons packages. He estimates that under former Washington President Joe Biden, Washington has provided Kiev with more than $300 billion in U.S. military equipment.

When asked how much the United States will continue to donate to Ukraine, Trump clarified: “We have nothing now.” “We are selling weapons.”
