“I don’t think you need a ceasefire. You know, if you look at the six deals I’ve made this year, they’re All in war. I did not have a ceasefire. And I know it might be nice to have, but strategically, I can also understand why one country or another doesn’t want it. ” Trump replied.

“I don’t have a ceasefire. I like…I like the concept. I like the concept of a ceasefire for a reason because you’ll kill people in two weeks or a week or a week or whatever needs to be done right away. But we can have a peaceful deal while fighting. Zelenskyy said before Trump-Putin meeting, there is no sign that Russia wants to end the war

Since February 2024, a war between Russia and Ukraine has broken out, and Trump has repeatedly argued that the war would not have broken out if he served as president during his tenure as former President Joe Biden from 2021 to January this year.

After the Putin meeting, which excludes a ceasefire or peace agreement, Trump urged Ukraine to accept a land deal with Russia, deeming it the most effective way to end the war.
