Joseph Hernandez, a 52-year-old entrepreneur Originally from Cubadue to his disdain for the left-wing policy advocated by Zohran Mamdani, was motivated to enter the New York City Mayoral Competition.
“I am definitely the polar opposite of Zohran Mamdani,” Hernandez told Fox News. “I believe hard work, education and perseverance are what makes you successful in this country.”

Hernandez, a Manhattan Businessmanleads Blue Water Venture Partners, a healthcare and technology investment company. According to his campaign website, he has also founded more than a dozen healthcare and pharmaceutical companies in his career.
“I really don’t need to do this in my career or in my life, but I really care about the trajectory of this great city,” he told Fox News Digital.

Hernandez said he launched an independent mayor bid more than a month ago, and since then, he has raised about $300,000.
“We think we have a lot of support and we continue to ask people to support us because we have a tough battle,” he said. “It’s a big political machine that is fighting us.”
If elected, he has three main priorities: security, affordability and technology. He hopes to hire 10,000 police officers through AI And transform vacant office space into affordable housing.
“The city is not safe,” Hernandez told Fox News figures. “You can’t ride the subway at night. Almost every night you get attacked. People are robbed here. There is no law and order – zero respect for the law.”

“I filed a lawsuit against the city a few weeks ago and did ask them to regain the vote for ranking choices in the general election,” he said.
Democratic mayor nominee Zohran Mamdani holds a huge lead in the New York City mayoral race, according to Siena’s recent polls for registered voters.
Mamdani has a 44% turnout, and former Governor Andrew Cuomo has a 25% independent campaign. Curtis Sliwa, a Republican, was 12%, and current mayor Eric Adams, was 7%.
