“Because of my own inner demons and trauma,” bachelor A 40-year-old alum told e! information In an interview published on Friday, August 15, she mentioned her date attempt after breaking up with her ex-wife. Jason Tartick.
“I’m so independent that when I started dating, I thought, ‘Okay, always do long distances and we can do our own things and get together on weekends or anything else,” she added. “My therapist always tells me that it’s my coping mechanism. So, I feel like the challenge itself is on me.”
Bristowe was previously engaged to Tartick bachelor Season 14 of 2018. The former couple had been together for four years before canceling their engagement in August 2023.
Years later, Bristowe accused her ex of stealing her “dream baby” Teddy and nicknamed him as his new dog.
She said: “It’s not that I didn’t cover him. I’ve surpassed him. I ended up in a relationship. I didn’t want to get stuck in it. It felt weird to me. It felt like everything was on Instagram and numbers. I didn’t want to be in it. But to pick up the dog and call the dog my dream baby, my baby name for 10 years. “I said, the day I met him, ‘I want to name my baby Teddy. ‘”

Despite the breakup, Bristowe confirmed earlier this year that she was actually dipping her toes in the dating pool.
She told People in April, adding: “I’ve been protecting my peace.”
“This opens some really beautiful doors for beautiful humans and I’m really happy where I’m here,” she continued. “I’ve been talking about my life so I’ve tried to get it in there, but I’ve also tried to re-engage the way I talk about how I talk about things because in the past, I’ve learned very hard lessons and I’ve been very selfish.”
She added: “So, now, I try to speak my truth and also reflect and hold myself accountable for things because I do think it’s part of the vulnerability as well.”
