According to a PAC representative, the $50,000 tax bills generated during this period, including the payment of taxes owed by the District of Columbia and the federal government, were late, but eventually paid in full after the end of the July-mid-year reporting period. The delegate said that the debt to be paid now will be reflected in its year-end application to the FEC.

“They’re not only about luxury, it’s a super lifestyle for someone,” said James Bopp Jr. Campaign Finance Indiana has sued FEC’s attorneys several times. “Even if the event might be something he could attend and get reasonable reimbursement for the expenses he went there, it’s not about subsidizing a luxury lifestyle. It’s personal damage. So there are legal issues regarding the rationality of the expense.”
