Legislators Are Presided for the White House Crime Bill Donald Trump’s Criminal actions in Washington, DC.
Trump has hinted that he will send a package to Congress in the near future, aiming to enable the administration to continue pushing for the region to become a “beacon” for other blue cities, but has little detail about what he might hope to see in the legislation.

“We don’t think Democrats will do anything to stop crime, but we think Republicans will almost do it unanimously,” Trump said. “So we’re going to need a crime bill that will be about DC, which will be about DC.”
He also noted that “we will seek relatively small amounts of money” to repair potholes and generally pave the area.

It is unclear whether the package will become part of the expenditure bill or become its own independent supplementary funding package, and when, legislators will actually get their help in the request.

Legislators are not planning to return to Washington until after Labor Day and will immediately meet government funding with a fast approaching deadline.
They also have to deal with Trump’s expected demands to expand control over DC police – the president has only 30 days unless Congress grants him an extension with a common resolution.

Republicans have broadly supported him more time to combat Capitol crime, but the joint resolution may require 60 votes in the Senate, and Senate Democrats Signals suggest they won’t allow Trump to further consolidate his control over Washington.
However, Trump suggested that he would trigger a national emergency declaration to bypass Congress, which some congressional Republicans have already supported.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck SchumerWhen asked about the extension, DN.Y. announced in the podcast appearance that “no f −–”, Senate minority whip whip dick Durbin, d-ill. Trump’s move to the federal Washington District of Columbia was a “political theater.”
“He did nothing but cause chaos, and ignored the progress of local officials in Washington, D.C. to reduce crime,” Dubin said. “Now, he said he wanted to assist Congress in expanding control of the MPD. Currently, there are no “special conditions of emergency nature” in the DC and the president must demand federal control of the MPD under the Domestic Rule Act. This is unprecedented. It’s nothing more than a power grab.”
