President Donald Trump reveals how he plans to meet with the Russian president Vladimir Putin On Friday.
Trump conducted a radio interview on “Brian Kilmeade” on Thursday and told the host Brian Kilmeade His negotiations with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy were “like chess.”
Trump estimates that his meeting with Putin in Alaska has a 25% chance of a total failure, but says he hopes to push for a second meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy.
“This meeting sets up a second meeting,” Trump told Kilmead.
He believes the second meeting will be “extremely important” and suggests that negotiations may be held on land swaps, which Zelenskyy’s concept opposes.

Trump added that he believes he will soon know on Friday whether Putin intends to cooperate.
“I believe he is now convinced that he will make an agreement. He will make an agreement. I think he is going to make an agreement. We are going to find the answer – I will know soon.”

Trump continues to confirm that he will use one Sanctions against Russia If Putin does not move forward with peace talks.

“There will be consequences,” Trump told reporters on Wednesday. “I don’t need to say. There will be very serious consequences.”
Putin said on Thursday that the United States “in my opinion, the United States is working to stop hostilities, stop the crisis and reach an agreement of interest to all parties in the conflict.”

Meanwhile, Zelenskyy downplayed hope around Wednesday’s meeting, saying he thinks Russia is ready to end the war in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy said on X: “At present, there is no indication that the Russians are ready to end the war. Our coordinated efforts and joint actions – Ukraine, the United States, Europe and all countries seeking peace, can absolutely force Russia to achieve peace.”
