Former Republican candidate New Mexico The state legislature seat was sentenced to 80 years in prison on Wednesday after signing the gunman to conduct a shooting of Democratic officials’ homes after the death of the Democratic Party.
Solomon Peña, who planned the attack in Albuquerque, New Mexico, weeks after the November 2022 failure, was convicted of 13 felony charges earlier this year.
He was charged with conspiracy, a felony of gun ownership, four counts of intimidation and interference in federal protection activities, three counts of violent crimes and three counts of crimes.
One of the shootings was a machine gun, which was conducted between December 4, 2022 and January 3, 2023. Peña personally participated in one of the attacks.

While the victim’s children and other relatives were at home, some shootings occurred, although no one was injured.
Prosecutors said Peña organized the shooting at the homes of two Bernalillo County commissioners and two New Mexico lawmakers in response to unconfirmed claims that election fraud caused losses.
“Violence and intimidation have no place in our elections,” Ryan Ellison, New Mexico, said in a statement Wednesday.

Official Peña targets All Democrats and include the current state legislator.
After his campaign failed, Penia went to the homes of members of the Bernalillo County Commission and imposed on them the force they did not prove the election results, claiming that the election had been “manipulated” against him.
Prosecutors said when they refused and certified the results, Penia hired accomplices Jose Trujillo and Demetrio Trujillo for the shooting.

Two men, Peña, signed a contract last year due to the shooting. After being arrested, Peña attempted to murder the two in order to prevent them from testifying.
In addition to his 80-year prison term, Peña received three years of supervised release. His lawyer said he would Appeal of conviction.
