Ceedee Lamb was a hit and committed a penalty in the Dallas Cowboys’ preseason opener, even if the star receiver didn’t play.
When the four-time Pro Bowl catcher lingers in the second quarter of the Cowboys’ game against the Los Angeles Rams Saturday night, a sprint official hit the Lambs’ back, causing Dallas to receive a 15-yard penalty for contact with officials.
Lamb, wearing street clothes, watched Joe Milton’s deep into Jonathan Mingo and signaled his teammates while standing in the white paint at the edge of the sideline. The official followed the game while running, he didn’t see the lambs, and then he knocked out the huge game, which was big behind.
The lamb had no obvious effect and collided with his teammates and laughed. Dallas is still being blown up for its non-sports behavior, which is 15 yards of Cowboys’ 51-yard Los Angeles defensive back Shaun Jolly interferes with Mingo’s pass.
Lamb, Dak Prescott, George Pickens and most of the Cowboys’ main players did not play in the preseason.
