FBI approves Cohen’s request to find Texas Democrats who fled the country

R-Texas Sen. John Cornyn announced Thursday that the FBI has approved his request for federal agents to help locate Democratic lawmakers in Texas Who fled the country Stagnated Republicans re-divided votes.

Cohen said the FBI agreed to assist Texas law enforcement to locate members of the Texas House of Representatives, “they fled the state to thwart legislative processes.”

“I am proud to announce director Kash Patel Approved my request “Let the FBI assist state and local law enforcement to locate Texas Democrats. We cannot allow these rogue lawmakers to avoid constitutional responsibility,” Cornyn said in a statement.

The FBI declined to comment when it was reached by Fox News Digital.

In Texas, more than 50 Democratic lawmakers fled the state earlier this month to prevent the necessary quorum in Texas, which requires at least 150 institutions.

Democratic government. JB Pritzker of Illinois, Gavin Newsom of California and Kathy Hochul of New York provided shelter to those Texas Democrats, advocating for the deadlock they created to save democracy.

The FBI has tools to help state enforcement when parties cross national boundaries, including avoiding testimony or escaping the scene of a crime.”

The letter cites concerns that “legislators who solicit or receive funds to help avoid legislative obligations may be guilty of bribery or other public corruption.”

“Governor Abbott and Texas law enforcement officers are doing their best within the law, but it may be necessary for the federal government,” Cohen wrote. “These legislators are anxious to avoid constitutional responsibility and must conduct a comprehensive investigation and assume responsibility. I urge you to work with Texas public officials to provide them with the support they need.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott held a special meeting to try to advance a Congressional redivision plan that could add five new Republican-tilted home seats before next year’s midterm elections.

Abbott also filed an emergency petition to the state Supreme Court on Tuesday for the removal of state Rep. Gene Wu and classified him as “a leader of abolished Democrats who fled the state to break the quorum.”

President Donald Trump is urging the Republican state to open up the process of re-division of the cycle in order to give the Republican Party a better chance to maintain control of the house.
