New York City Mayor Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani’s recognition event ended abruptly on Monday when he was taken off the stage by his campaign aides.
After receiving approval from the American Federation of Musicians (Local 802), Mamdani answered some questions about former Governor Andrew Cuomo Decided to stay in the game As an independent candidate, and his upcoming meeting with House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, DN.Y.
The event started about 20 minutes ago, before Mamdani could continue to answer reporters’ questions, his campaigner stepped in and said: “I think we’re done.
But Mamdani stood on the podium, trying to hear questions about the reporters’ voices of the campaign assistants until the band participating in the event started playing “When the Saints Come in.” A smile appeared on his face as the battle aide grabbed his arm and was pulled away.

He hosted several recognition events, including United Teachers Federation (UFT) and Rep. Adriano Espaillat, Democrat of New York. By the end of these recognition events, the event had already raised questions to journalists.
The 33-year-old candidate is expected to host an event with a self-proclaimed representative of democratic socialist. Alexandria Ocasio-CortezDN.Y., in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, recognized Mamdani ahead of last month’s main win.

During Monday’s recognition event, Mamdani confirmed his meeting with Jeffries later this week. Jeffries told Fox News Digital that he will meet with Mamdani at his Brooklyn home this weekend.
House Minority Leader has not yet endorsed Mamdani since his Democratic nomination.

“I look forward to meeting with Congressman Jeffries,” Mamdani said on Monday.
