Key Events
Round 10
Taylor continued to score with a quick counterattack before breaking through the range. It’s a winning strategy and why she might see her hand lifted in a few minutes. Taylor scored a slower performance, and for me it was the easiest score of their three games.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 97-93 Serrano)
Round 9
At this stage, Taylor’s hands and feet are more complete than any of the previous two battles, and they are here to serve her. The left-handed counter has been fair, but they are scoring and attracting the judge’s eyes. Serrano almost abandoned his body.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 87-84 Serrano)
Round 8
Another round. Taylor did enough to accept it, but she showed some damage under her right eye.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 77-75 Serrano)
Round 7
Another very close round, neither of them landed too much. Scores will be everywhere.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 9-10 Serrano (Taylor 67-66 Serrano)
Round 6
Taylor continues to fight well, and whenever Serrano closes, the road away from damage moves to the left. Taylor boxed well in something softer than the previous two issues. Serrano grabbed Taylor with his right hand as the bell rang.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 58-56 Serrano)
Round 5
Serrano continued his pursuit of Taylor, who distinguishedly measured distances and was far beyond the reach. Serrano has a hard time cutting the ring when Taylor is in trouble. A very close round, there wasn’t much action to take, but Taylor got enough power to wield this round. The battle has no similarities to the previous two games.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 48-47 Serrano)
Round 4
Taylor played a fourth round opponent in another round, and the fighter showed other respect in each game.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 38-38 Serrano)
Round 3
Tension is depressed. Taylor landed a combo in the center of the ring, and Serrano fired backwards. Neither caused any serious injury. Serrano caught Taylor with a big shot. Taylor landed on several sharp counters, and Serrano entered near the end of the frame, which might be enough to swing their own way.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 9-10 Serrano (Taylor 28-29 Serrano)
Round 2
The mutual respect between the couple is being achieved, another very cautious round. Serrano finally got a major first rush in the second time, but even then didn’t land cleanly. Taylor is fighting back to find the vacancy, but Serrano is not excited. Lots of disguise and clever steps. Serrano engraved the round among the invaders.
Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 9-10 Serrano
The first round
We’re leaving! They meet in the center of the ring, which is the 21st round of their trilogy. Taylor hopes to build a left stab before Serrano throws a punch. Every time you try to take the other party’s measurement and collect data, it will be earlier. The round is over and there may not be a punch landing in two minutes. The ultimate sensation ring. Taylor covers the event.
The Guardian’s informal score: Taylor 10-9 Serrano (Taylor 10-9 Serrano)
The warrior is in the ring. The introduction has been made. The fighter has received the final instructions and is eliminated in a few seconds. We’ll pick it from here for circular coverage!
The joyful Amanda Serrano comes first. It is the highly dramatic entrance to Bad Bunny’s Nuevayol, accompanied by her promoter Jake Paul and about twelve dancers. She was wearing a red, white and blue leather robe and the crowd was eating it.
Now it’s Katie Taylor’s turn. Even as I walked past Hannah McClure and Bethel Music, the Bryfighters emerged from the tunnel as a mix of booing and cheering. She was slowly climbing onto the ring, focusing completely with a stone expression, wearing a black robe and gold trim. The two entrances may not be different.
In the moment before the national anthem, the atmosphere in the garden was positively electric. Sweet Caroline in the book, Puerto Ricans and Irish fans walk back and forth, trying to work with each other in the decibel range. Two national anthems: the Republic of Ireland and Puerto Rico. They are happening now. The ring is here.
Alycia Baumgardner retains the undisputed 130-pound title
Alycia Baumgardner just won a 10-round unanimous decision by Jennifer Miranda to retain her undisputed junior lightweight title. Two judges taught the card 98-92, while the third scored 97-93. (These edges feel wide; the Guardians are 96-94 in the battles of Miranda with more than they have in Baumgardner.)
“I’ll definitely give myself a B-plus,” Baumgardner said. “It’s not my best performance, but I’m glad to be in the ring.” [after] Such a long layoff can only make these rounds enter. ”
Next: Main Events Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
Earlier, Ellie Scotney unified three of the three major world champions of the youngest-weight champions. The 27-year-old from Catford, southeast London, scored 10 rounds of unanimous decisions with 98-92 (twice) and 100-90, adding Mexico’s WBC belt to her WBO and IBF belts.
Scottney improved 11 wins in 11 professional battles and is now 3 of four major world champions weighing 122 pounds. The fourth place approved by the WBA is held by Mayelli Flores.

Early signs indicate that the pro-Surano population is large. It is worth noting that during the breakout between the sixth and seventh rounds of the final battle, the large video screen in the garden flashed to Taylor, and Serrano then wrapped his hands in the locker room. It was the first glimpse of the crowd to any of the main events of the night, and it seemed like the Brooklyn Challenger’s loud reaction. This will be their first battle in this room in 2022, where the audience feels allegiance in the middle.
Shadasia Green Unified the 168-pound title
Shadasia Green just won a 10-round split decision at Savannah Marshall to unify the IBF and WBO super middleweight championships. Two Diamondbacks judges tilted the 35-year-old teacher from Paterson, New Jersey, 96-93 and 95-94, while the third place scored Marshall 96-93.
After the score was announced, the emotions overcome the green. She added Marshall’s IBF champion to her WBO belt for 168 pounds.
Marshall, 34, from Hartlepool, had no doubts about the results, but was not satisfied with the profits of 96-93 cards. “Give me two rounds,” she said. “All I want is a fair fight.”
This left another bottom card ahead of the main event: 10 games between Alycia Baumgardner and Jennifer Miranda, Baumgardner’s undisputed junior lightweight champion. After that, Taylor and Serrano will enter their entrance.
Preface
They ended 861 punches, played 20 rounds without a single knockout, and helped change the course of women’s boxing history. Tonight at Madison Square Garden Katie Taylor Amanda Serrano walked through the ropes at the third and most likely last time. The last dance. The last chance is closed.
It’s more than just a battle. This is the climax of competition that has lifted the sport. In 2022, their first meeting A milestone moment: The first time the women’s round will be put on the garden title, which is a fierce sight facing a noisy crowd that prompts facilitators to open the upper deck. Taylor showed up in many split decisions that are still under debate. Their rematch in Texas last year was more decisive, Taylor announces the winner again But it is not without controversy. Serrano bleed from the depths above her eyes, accusing her competitor of leading the way. Taylor suggested that: “Opinions are opinions, but facts are facts. I plan to stay 3-0 at 3-0.”
Now is the scene of the trilogy round and resolution. Taylor, 39, put her WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO junior and middle secondary championship titles at 136 pounds. She is two undisputed champions, Olympic gold medalists, and arguably the most accomplished female boxer of all time. But her definition of foil is Serrano: The 36-year-old Puerto Rican-born Southpaw won the world championship in seven divisions and brought ruthless volumes and courage. If Taylor was a technician, Serrano was the engine. If Taylor was an idol, then Serrano was an insurgent. There is not much to prove except for each other.
Background: The first all-around professional card in Madison Square Garden history, played on Netflix. Alycia Baumgardner, Chantelle Cameron, Ellie Scotney, Savannah Marshall and Ramla Ali all featured, but two years ago, Taylor and Serrano both closed the circles they started drawing.
This battle may not crown a new champion or the undisputed queen. But this could ultimately provide clarity for their lack of competition—or inspire a quarter of appeal. Either way, the bells are coming. And we will be the ring in every second.
