Conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk He was shot dead while giving a speech at an event at the University of Utah in Orem, Utah.

Kirk is currently in a “critical situation” after being taken to a local hospital. A law enforcement official told Associated Press.

Kirk, 31, was attending a Q&A with students when he was shot dead in his neck on Wednesday, September 10, on Wednesday, September 10.

“A guest spokesperson was fired on campus. Police are investigating and the suspect is in custody,” the university’s campus alert said.

According to CNN, the shooting was fired from a campus building about 200 yards from Kirk’s speech.
