Senator Wyden conflicts with RFK JR are linked to child health policy

Minister of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. During Thursday’s hearing, a fierce debate was held with Senator Ron Wyden.

Kennedy communicated while testifying before the Senate Finance Committee. Wyden accused Kennedy of putting children on a “path of harm” through his policies and believed Kennedy did not regret it.

“It’s about kids getting stuck in trouble with reckless and repetitive decisions to get scientists and doctors out of the situation and allow conspiracy theory to decide the country’s health policy,” Wyden said during an inquiry.

“I don’t have any evidence that you have any regrets about anything you do or plan to change it. My final comment is, I hope you will tell Americans how many preventable child deaths are to create an acceptable sacrifice for an agenda that I think is fundamentally strict and violates common sense.

“Did I get the answer?” Kennedy said. “Senator, how long have you been sitting in that chair? 20-25 years, our children have a chronic disease of up to 76%. You said nothing.”

He continued: “You’ve never asked a question like this. Why did this happen? Today, 20 years ago, we’ve learned that infant mortality has increased in our country. It’s not because I’m here. It’s because what happened during the Biden administration, and we’re about to end.”

Chairman of the Committee Mike Crapo, R-Idaho then intervened, giving Wyden another chance to speak briefly, although his microphone was still turned off.

“We will continue,” Crabbeau said. “I gave Senator Vuitton there as a member of the ranking, but we’re going to stick with it for five minutes.”

Kennedy’s testimony comes a day after more than 1,000 current and former HHS employees signed a letter. Call on him to resign Wednesday. Senator Bernie Sanders, I also called on him to resign.

Kennedy critics noted that he fired Susan Monarez, a former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
