House committee expands Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation through real estate subpoena

House Oversight Committee takes major steps to expand investigation Jeffrey Epstein Monday included the estate of the late pedophile.

R-Ky. Committee Chairman James Comer sent a letter to the attorney representing Epstein’s property and requested a large number of documents by September 8.

“The Oversight and Government Reform Commission is reviewing the federal government’s investigation into Mr. Jeffrey Epstein and Ms. Gisrena Maxwell, the death of Mr. Epstein, the operation of the sex trafficking rings and the federal government’s effective crackdown on them and the potential violations of officials at the Athenian officials, potential violations of officials, and the circumstances of officials’ writing, are “announced officials,” he said.

“Our understanding is that Jeffrey Epstein’s property is being detained and controlled by documents that may further promote the Commission’s investigation and legislative objectives. In addition, our understanding is that the estate is ready and willing to provide these documents to the Commission based on the subpoena.”

Maxwell said she had never seen Trump do anything inappropriate.

Comer also announced that the committee will hear from former Trump administration Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, who also served as a U.S. attorney for southern Florida when he signed a non-ratification agreement with the federal government in 2008.

Acosta appeared before the committee on September 19 for a closed-door transcription interview. He was forced to pass the subpoena.

Epstein pleaded guilty to two state charges in Florida in 2008, demanding prostitution, avoiding tougher federal charges. He eventually served 13 months in the county jail, benefiting from a work release program, conducting confidential settlements with some victims, and registering as a sex offender.

It also allows co-conspirators to avoid charges – a major point of dispute for his late 2021 accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell during the federal trial. This is also the basis for Maxwell’s call for the Supreme Court to overturn his guilty verdict.

Documents summoned by Comer include all entries in a book by Maxwell for the 50th anniversary of Epstein’s birth, Epstein’s will, and information about the non-announced agreement.

Information about Epstein’s financial transactions, calls and visitor logs, and “any document or record of potential clients that may reasonably be construed as a list of clients of sexual, sexual conduct or sexual trafficking promoted by Mr. Jeffrey Epstein”.

The House Oversight Committee sent a series of subpoenas to Epstein earlier this month, conducting a bipartisan investigation into the late pedophile.

Comer sought testimony from former FBI directors Robert Mueller and James Comey, former lawyers Bill Barr and Loretta Lynch, as well as former President Bill Clinton and former country Hillary Clinton. Barr testified last week.
