Texas Benefit Concert’s official Instagram account shared a post through its Instagram story confirming that Clarkson, 43, will not attend the Sunday, August 17 event.
“Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, Kelly Clarkson will not be able to appear together in the Texas band as planned,” a statement on Monday, August 11 said. “We sent love to Kelly and her family.”
The concert will still be held at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and will be held with Miranda Lambert,,,,, Parker McCollum,,,,, Ryan Bingham,,,,, Wade Bowen,,,,, Ronnie Dunn,,,,, Dylan Gossett,,,,, Jack Ingram,,,,, Cody Johnson,,,,, Lyle Lovett,,,,, Lukas Nelson,,,,, Jon Randall and Randy Rogers.
The fundraising campaign will benefit the community foundations of the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community Foundation after severe floods claimed 130 lives in early July.
“Texas aims to gather vital support for flooded communities and their ongoing needs during recovery and reconstruction,” the event Official website explain.
Clarkson previously performed “Sick” in the remaining August of Las Vegas’s residence rights at the Caesars Palace in an article shared on August 6 via her Instagram.
She wrote at the time: “I sincerely regret for all those who have purchased tickets to the show and I am very grateful for your grace, kindness and understanding.”
