Spirit Airlines pilot ‘quit duty’ after arresting on stalking charges | U.S. crime

A Spirit Airlines pilot is “dismissed” after being arrested at work New OrleansInternational Airport to track fees KansasAccording to officials.

Dominic A Cipolla, 40, was charged with stalking two different people in a criminal complaint on July 11 Kansasexhibit. Officials have not released much information about the allegations against Cipolla, but the date of birth listed in court documents indicates that its alleged victims say they are about 12 and 17 years old.

Local law enforcement officers arrested Zibola on July 17 while he was working at Louis Armstrong Airport New Orleans Suburbs of Kenna, Louisiana.

He was considered a fugitive in a local lock and escape and was transferred to the Johnson County Jail on August 2. Records show he soon released a $12,500 margin to release the detention center while awaiting the outcome of the allegations against him, and plans to make his first appearance on August 12.

When asked about Cipolla on Monday, a Florida-based Spirit spokesman said in a statement that the company “recognized that it was involved in a pilot at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport…it had nothing to do with their job responsibilities.”

“The pilot was removed from office before our investigation into the matter,” the airline statement said. “We arranged another pilot to fly.”

Records in the Cipolla case show that the charges he faced with two young people in the so-called victims are considered a Kansas degree 7 felony, a crime that could be sentenced to one to three years in jail under state law. Another charge is considered a Class A misdemeanor with a fine of up to $2,500 or up to one year in a county jail.

Cipolla is described in court records as a resident of Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City is about 22 miles (35 km) north of Olassi.

An attempt to contact Cipolla did not immediately succeed.

His profile, named after his name on public sales and recruitment platforms, said Cipolla had served in the U.S. military and joined Spirit as No. 1 in 2022 after taking the same position at Texas Regional Envoy Airlines.
