The U.S. swimming team is experiencing an outbreak of acute gastroenteritis that affected several athletes at the start of the World Aquatic Championships in Singapore.
Team officials confirmed that the disease originated in a training camp in Phuket, Thailand and damaged several performances while playing on Sunday.

US swimming spokesman Nikki Warner told reporters that all team members went to Singapore but refused to specify how many people were affected by the infectious disease.
