Lori Vallow Daybell, a doomsday cult trailer who killed two of her children, was sentenced to two death sentences to cause the murder of her ex-husband and attempted to murder her niece’s ex-husband.
During a sentencing in Arizona Friday, Daybell’s family described in court how she hurt them and their disgust.
“You’re a robot, parasite and coward,” her grandmother, Kay Woodcock, told her.
Daybell was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his 7-year-old son Joshua “JJ” Vallow and his 16-year-old daughter Tylee Ryan.
Her only surviving son, Colby Ryan, was in court on Friday. He honors his father, Charles Vallow, who “carespects our family and makes sure we live a good life.”
He said to his mother: “Smiling in all the pain you cause must be a very sad life.”
“She would rather say that Charles, Telly and JJ’s death was a family tragedy than her evil, she would rather say, than admit the pain she caused.”
“Frankly, I believe Lori Vallow himself is a family tragedy.”
JJ’s grandfather, Larry Woodcock, also sometimes yelled at her.
“You murdered Charles, and it’s the best thing that’s going to happen in your life because of your delusion, narcissistic way,” he said.
“I will never say your name again, murder. You are nothing.”
Daybell was found accomplice with her brother, who died in 2019 for natural reasons to murder her ex-husband and cash for his life insurance.
Officials said she also conspired to kill Brandon Boudreaux, who nearly avoided being shot in the head outside his home.
During the trial, she argued that the late brother killed her ex-husband in self-defense.
Despite no legal experience, the so-called “Doomsday Mom” represents herself in the trial.
Her current husband, Chad Daybell, is awaiting the death penalty in Idaho as the death of the two children and his wife begins with Lori Daybell.
Chad Daybell is a writer who loosely wrote several apocalyptic novels based on the religious teachings of Mormons.
The murder was committed as part of the couple’s weird belief that people throughout their lives have been possessed by evil souls.
Friday’s verdict came at the end of her third and final trial.
The case caught the United States with Daybell and her husband after the disappearance of two children. She was later arrested in Hawaii and the bodies of the children were found on a property belonging to her husband in Idaho.
