Maresca is happy with Palmer. “These are the games we expect Cole to appear,” he said. “The big game and big moments, he showed his performance again.”
Chelsea, who made £90m from the US deadline, will have three weeks off before returning to practice with leadership in the new season. They hosted Crystal Palace on August 17 by hosting Premier League campaigns. “Of course I’m very excited [about the future],” Maresca said. “But I’m glad we have three weeks off. ”
Maresca praised his youthful side to execute the perfect plan. “I have nothing to say to the players,” the Italian said. “They all deserve this, and it’s a great moment. We won the game in the first 10 minutes. We set the pace and we’re very good at pressing them. The conditions are hard to keep going, but the boys do a great job.”
Palmer plays the compliment of the right-hand role, but Maresca focuses on the entire team. “Today, we found more space for him to attack,” he said. “Obviously, Cole was doing very well, but the efforts of all the players were great.”
Maresca did not underestimate Chelsea’s achievements in becoming a world champion. “I think it will become as important as the Champions League, and we value the Champions League as much as it is,” he said.

President Trump was ridiculed by the crowd more than once while attending the trophy stadium. Trump appeared next to Boehly and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who ignored the booing and kept the forward and center as Chelsea held up the trophy.
“I know he’ll be here, but I don’t know he’ll be in the stands when we lift the trophy,” Palmer said. “I’m a little confused.”
There is a major safety operation outside the ground before the game. Secret Service officials attended the surrounding area as Trump participated in the competition, and Transportation Safety Administration officials conducted luggage inspections.
PSG was shocked by Chelsea and lost its calm at the end. João Neves was sent away for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair, and Luis Enrique, manager of Ligue 1, may face disciplinary action after pushing João Pedro in the face.
Luis Enrique defended himself, saying he was trying to separate the players after a full-time fight broke out. “At a high level of pressure, I have no problem expressing my feelings at the end of the game,” he said. “It’s very stressful for all of us. It will be impossible to avoid. Everyone is involved. It’s not the best, nor is the end result of the pressure of the game.
“I’ve seen Maresca. I’ve seen him pushing other people, we have to separate all the players, I don’t know where the pressure comes from. But it’s a situation we have to avoid. My intention is that I want to separate the football players, so it’s not getting worse.”
“After the last whistle, I approached Luis and talked to him, and I saw something happening, but I don’t know what the hell was going on,” Maresca said.
