Bobby Jenks: Former Chicago White Sox pitcher dies at 44

Former Chicago white sock pitcher Bobby Jenks died of rare gastric cancer at the age of 44.

Jenks, a two-time All-Star pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and was part of the team, ending an 88-year wait for the World Series title in 2005.

He threw in the final game of the game in Game 4 of the series when the White Sox defeated the Houston Astros.

“We have lost the iconic member of the White Sox family,” Whitesokes chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said in a statement.

“No one of us will forget what Bobby did in the 2005 World Series Championship and across the Sox organization.”
