Conservative American activist Charlie Kirk, podcast commentator, influential Donald Trump Shot on Wednesday While speaking at Utah Valley University.
The university is located approximately 40 miles from Orem City Utah Salt Lake City, the capital of the state.
At the time of the shooting, about 3,000 people participated in a debate chaired by Kirk’s non-profit political youth group Turning Point.
Kirk is speaking to the crowd, speaking from under a white tent with the slogans “America Comeback” and “Prove I’m Wrong.”
Kirk began to speak about 20 minutes later, at about 12.20pm, he was shot to death. At the last moment, the audience asked about gun violence.
Authorities say a lonely perpetrator is suspected of shooting Kirk’s single shot. Witness reports and videos recorded before and after the incident appeared to place the shooter on the roof of the Lose Center building on campus about 125 meters away.
Video released online after the shooting showed a man clearly driving along the roof of the Lose Center.

Federal, state and local authorities are looking for shooters, who remain unidentified. Two people were detained Wednesday, but both were identified as related to the shooting and both were released.
