Three former FBI Officials prosecuted Its director Kash Patel and the federal government said Wednesday that the bureau had wide illegal political influence.
Three officials, Brian Driscoll Jr, Steven Jensen and Spencer Evans filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington, D.C., asking the judge to declare their shooting illegal, resumed their lawsuit and granted it to betrayal.
Complaint details an episode that Patel allegedly told Driscoll Donald Trump.
“Patel explained that he had to fire his boss who told him the person who opened the fire because his ability to retain his job depends on the dismissed agents who worked in cases involving the president,” the complaint said. FBI He did not forget about trying to put the president in jail. ”
The complaint also claims Emil Bove, a Trump ally and former Justice Department official, asked Driscoll to compile a list of agents for the investigation into the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. When Driscoll said the mass dismissals of the agents would not comply with FBI protocols and endanger national security, Bow said they would be forwarded to the Justice Department for misconduct review.
The complaint said Bauff also told Driscoll that he received pressure from White House aide Stephen Miller in a large number of fire operatives at the FBI.
The three’s firing, each with more than 20 years of experience with the FBI, is one of the bravest examples of how Trump politicized and weaponized law enforcement officers to target his political rivals.
“Driscoll, Jansson and Evans are the targets of the defendants’ retribution because they refuse to politicize the FBI, and they try to prove their constitutional and legitimate rights,” the complaint said.
In a statement, Driscoll, who served as FBI director after Trump’s inauguration, said: “The FBI men and women have made countless sacrifices to fulfill the bureau’s mission: to protect Americans and uphold the constitution. That’s why this is the act of political action being announced in detail, and it’s our efforts to put inappropriate pressure or improperly terminate.”
