This is a full-scale nuclear explosion.
Just like the Pacific Test Farms near the Marshall Islands and French Polynesia.
But this political explosion swept the Senate.
In November 2013, the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reed (D-Nev.) ignited the first Senate “nuclear choice”. He curbed the lawsuit to confirm the executive’s nominees – in addition to Supreme Court. Such nominees no longer need a simple majority vote to break the for votes.
Senate Republican leaders lower litigation threshold for Trump nominee through nuclear selection
Former Senate Majority Leader R-Ky. McConnell, therefore, withdrew from the nomination of the High Court in the Filibuster Bar.
McConnell also lowered the bar from 60 Yes to 51.
Both of these situations are so compelling, they feature the Parliamentary Mushroom Cloud that broke out in the Capitol. After two instances, the Senate finally fell into a nuclear winter.

Now, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Rs.
Thune’s game is not something to be ignored. It won’t bear the same immediate weight of the actions performed by Reid and McConnell. But this is another crack in Senate customs. Legislative organizations still exist. If the senators can prevent the corpse from breaking the challenge 60 Yes, they can still block the bill.
Thune will follow the script established by Reid and McConnell to change the Senate precedent (note that this is not a change in the rules. Senate 67 votes are required to commit illegal acts to rule changes) to speed up confirmation of low-level nominees in the group. The plan will not include judges and cabinet secretary.
Thune on Monday accelerated about 40 nominees by introducing a resolution to make his gambit motive. Overall, the Senate will conduct a procedural vote to violate his resolution to confirm Thursday’s ratifier. The resolution itself (specific to such nominees) takes 60 years. The Senate won’t receive 60 years.
Thune lays the foundation for nuclear choice in Senate battle for Trump candidate
But that’s exactly what Thune needs to do to perform nuclear energy.
Field coins in the Senate are endless debates. However, it is rare for senators to debate something when the issue fails, and the senators demand a revote. So the failed vote failed, and the Senate was withdrawn from the exact parliament that the Thune wanted.
At the end of the scroll phone vote, Thune may convert its vote from YES to breaking Filibuster’s No. The Senate allows members to demand Mulligan on the main aspects of the issue. In this case, Thune suddenly appeared with “Noes” even though he initially voted to break the losing case. But remember that Thune is just temporarily switching his votes to advance his career. He may have lost the battle. But it may eventually win the war.
By changing its position, Thune can order a revote on a failed scrolling phone. And, because the Senate is a unique posture that does not allow any debate, Democrats are paralyzed. They can’t do anything to stop his next plan.

This is very similar to what Reid did in 2013, followed by McConnell’s first two nuclear programs in 2017.
Thune will then raise the order point on the floor.
Thune will assert that in the resolution he drafted, a group of lower-level nominees (such as – now the Senate nominee) does not need 60 votes to break the lawsuit. Chairman – Pro Tempore Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, or even Vice President VanceThe Senate President will probably rule that Dun is wrong. Senate rules and precedents do require 60 votes to break such resolutions.
Congress returns with Democrats, refusing to negotiate as Oct. 1 closure deadline is imminent
But Thune didn’t stop.
Majority leaders will then demand a vote to overthrow the chairman’s rule. He will assert that only a simple majority is necessary for this type of solution – even if there has never been such a resolution before.
The Senate will vote. If 51 senators vote for the ruling against the chairman, the Senate will set a new precedent. On this type of resolution, it will be reduced from 60 to 51 to quickly increase a batch of nominees.
Once the Senate does so, Thun will need to establish another procedural vote under a new precedent to break a picky game. If “files” again Thursday, the Senate can vote on Monday, September 15 to violate a losing case – only 51 Yes.

Here are some examples of confirmation by nominees in the queue:
Former Rep. Brandon Williams (RN.Y. President Trump used Leslie Beyer as assistant secretary of the Interior Department. Richard Anderson became assistant secretary of the Air Force. Jovan Jovanovic led the export Import Bank. Former House Speaker Newt Gingridge (R-Ga).
Thun said Democrats are stubborn and do not allow the Senate to confirm a batch of nominees in one go. He accused Democrats of obstacles, saying the minority was trying to undermine the president.
“This is just the longest, biggest tantrum in the world because of losing the election,” Thun said.
Trump nominees pile up as Republicans weigh Democrats once floating rules shift
But Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) especially when the Democrats eventually return to the majority and have a democratic president.
“I told my Republican colleagues to think carefully before taking this step,” Schumer warned. “If you go nuclear, it will be a decision and you will regret it.”
One might say that when Reed initiated the Nuclear Program 1 in 2013, Democrats helped open the door. Democrats frustrated by Republicans’ ham rope President Obama Nominee.
This was also the case when McConnell returned to favor with the Supreme Court in 2017 with Nuclear Program #2.
If you are a Real History student, considering the late Senate Majority Leader Robert Byrd, DW.V. It was indeed set up tables for Thune’s drill through three precedent gambits in 1980.

So, Tit-For-Tat continues.
Geopolitical observers say the world was shocked by the destruction of mutual benefit during the Cold War standoff between the United States and the Soviet Union. A nuclear attack on one country will result in annihilation of both countries. A country may strike first. However, the main aggressors cannot survive with guaranteed revenge.
In this parliamentary war game, there is no such mutually guaranteed destruction theory. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans sent a complete nuclear volley to the other side. Each strike is “strategic” and is primarily aimed at limited political goals. Therefore, there is no mutually guaranteed damage.

But it also means that Senate Dette has no motivation.
That’s why these parliamentary strikes and repetitions may not end soon.
