elder sister Minnesota Timberwolves Player Naz Reid said Monday that his boyfriend was shot and killed in the New Jersey apartment building accused of murder.
Police headed to Jackson’s Paragon Apartment Building at about 11 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of the shooting. They soon found Toraya Reid, 28, who had no response near the exit of the complex, and she was apparently shot several times. Officials also saw Shaquille Green, 29, running along a nearby road, running in custody without an accident.
In addition to murder, Green faces two counts of weapons charges. Police said Reed and Green have been in a “dating relationship” but did not provide further details.
Green was still sentenced to jail on Monday, and prosecutors don’t know if he retained the attorney.
Naz Reid New Jersey The local and his hometown star academic player are about to enter his seventh season with Minnesota, recently signing a five-year contract with the team. In the 2023-2024 season, he was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year.
Reed’s agent did not immediately respond to an email asking for comment Monday.
